This spot won first place in the 2018 Wisconsin Broadcasters Association's Best Commercial in Medium Market Television. Harley Davidson of Madison requested a similar commercial that was broadcast in the Phoenix market. I modified the idea to make it work here in Madison. I scripted, storyboarded, managed the actors, directed the shoot and edited this in After Effects and Premiere.

All I had to work with here was a thumbnail sized logo for this new business for a mechanic that makes “house calls” (or, maybe car calls). Not having the opportunity to shoot due to logistics, I created this cartoon to tell the story. It’s always fun to draw something myself that is unique!

We recorded coach Barry Alvarez in his office along with Steve Czaban and Mike Heller shortly before the pandemic. This took some careful editing with only one take. I preformed some animation editing magic by creating the moving light on Alexa and adding the iHeart logo on it to look like a sticker.

This is a very recent spot I did at Fox 47 where the account executive said: “One of the most effective ads produced by Mark are the banners and spot for UW Implementation. These ads have consistently performed well for my client and they (and I) couldn’t be happier.”

I worked with Moose from Club Tavern for several years, creating countless spots. He was fantastic to work with and always gave me lots of artistic freedom. Creating his videos were among my favorite projects.

This is another fine example of creating a video without video and very limited content as I only had the logo and 2 stills of racecars! Stock footage and my motion graphics made this work very well.

I had the opportunity to shoot this on two separate occasions, both on beautiful autumn days. The products are delicious and I tried to make the edit tasty too!

Animation was my friend yet again on this spot. What’s even more “shocking” is an early career option of mine was electrician. I actually know how to wire houses, but as you can see, I chose “show biz” instead!
